Implementation of communication and promotion activities in Italy and abroad

The CSO Marketing and Communications section implements communication and promotion activities in Italy and abroad to sustain the consumption of fruit and vegetables. CSO is the only Italian organization with so many years of experience in the promotion of quality agricultural produce, such as PGI Emilia Romagna Pears and PGI Romagna Peaches and Nectarines. CSO activities in the Marketing sector also include the organization of the participation of its members at Italian and international trade fair events and the planning and management of important communication events. The Communication section also pursues intense press office and public relations activities, both in Italy and abroad. In Italy, CSO is currently promoting a major communication campaign to encourage the consumption of fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables. The “Ortofrutta d’Italia” campaign for the promotion of Italian fruit and vegetables involves the participation of the most important sales organizations, with a series of adverts both in the Italian press and on television, as well as in new media channels. The activities of the Marketing and Communication section include:

  • Press office and communication activities: corporate press releases, website, social media, radio, TV and press advertising campaigns.
  • Promotional projects: development and implementation of projects to promote and enhance the consumption of typical produce in Italy and abroad.
  • Communication campaigns: projects to promote fruit and vegetable consumption.
    • ORTOFRUTTA D’ITALIA – Communication campaign developed by CSO to promote awareness and consumption of seasonal Italian fruit and vegetables
    • FRUITNESS – European project to promote fruit consumption by children and adolescents to combat obesity
    • EUROPEAN FLAVORS – European promotion project targeting the USA, Canada, Japan and Russia, highlighting the health and nutritional properties of both fresh and processed fruit and vegetables
